Mounting Bracket/Extension Bonet

Mounting Bracket/Extension Bonet

Mounting brackets are used for mounting the valves on it.

An extended bonnet is used for both low-temperature and high-temperature applications. The extended bonnet has the function of protecting the stuffing box and preventing leakage of the stem packing.

Low-temperature applications and types of medium examples include LNG applications, ethylene liquid, oxygen, liquid hydrogen, and liquefied natural gas.

High-temperature applications and types of medium examples include steam applications, and sour service.

With the cut seal valve there are three offsets. Two are placed in a similar position to the cut seal valve, while the third offset is the geometry of the seating surface, creating a type of cone shape of the disc and seat. This cone angle, along with the two eccentric shaft offsets, allows the disc to seal against the seat with no friction. This seat design also allows for uniform sealing, and thus a tight shutoff in a metal seat design. This design is a lower cost, lower torque option (easier to automate), than alternative style metal seated valves.
